Design, development and selling of a real-time multitasking kernel for industrial control applications, running as a MS-DOS extension, called PC Realtime. I developed together with a colleague this OS extension, which resulted in the world's first real-time multitasking OS for PC's that was compatible with MS-DOS programs. At that time, MS-Windows and IBM OS/2 were entering the market too, but were not usable for time critical control. The OS was fully equipped with inter process/inter thread communication (samaphores, pipes, channels, shared memory), interrupt handling and various scheduling schemes based on thread priority, aging and a unique own development called 'deadline scheduling'.
