I love poetry, understanding the root of things and studying Organization, Philosophy and Cosmology. I'm passionate about playing the guitar, enjoying the wondrous outdoors, traveling and experiencing the new. I have studied Economics, Organisation Studies, Philosophy and Developmental Psychology in The Netherlands and am specialised in designing and facilitating live games and simulations for systemic change within and between organisations. For 5.5 years I worked at Twynstra Gudde (a Dutch consultancy company) on projects for governmental agencies and (inter)national companies, learning the art of impact game creation.Almost 12 years ago we co-created Frisse Blikken / Fresh Forces and work as a partner on various tough and lesser tough organisational and transition problems. I work internationally where the transition towards a sustainable energy system and a regenerative agriculture system with all its challenges and opportunities really captured my interest and imagination. Ever since I started working with organizations I have been teaching at various Dutch and international universities and business schools on methodologies of systemic change, gaming & simulation and personal development. I live and love together with Kirsten and our unbelievably beautiful daughters Mies, Inés and Manu in the middle of The Netherlands.

I had the privilege to work together with big (inter)national - and governmental organizations on ‘tough’ change issues. During these five years I specialized myself in working with (learning) games and simulations within leadership programs, organization development trajectories and professionalization trajectories. It shaped my systemic understanding of issues, learned to work on an executive level and trained my multi stakeholder facilitation skills. I worked on various thrilling dossiers, but I’ll elaborate briefly on the three that I’m most proud of:1. Organizing and hosting a simulation (embedded in a mutual gains framework) with the multi-stakeholder steering committee of a large Dutch infrastructural project. The goal was to open up a delicate dialogue around trust, cooperation and leadership. We succeeded our goal. Amazing feeling!2. Co-designing and co-hosting a change trajectory for a large operational body within the municipality of Amsterdam. This intense project lasted a full year and at it’s core was a game that needed to give clarity on the need and purpose of the organization itself (the organization was slightly ‘orphaned’). It led to many small ‘grass-root’ initiatives of the employees themselves with the aim of ‘getting in contact’ again.3. Co-designing and co-hosting an introductory program for a large Dutch energy company. At the hart of this program was a game where the participants experienced, in miniature and within a day, the essence of the company. Moreover, they experienced changes they had to make with regard to sustainability aiming at carbon free production in 2030.
