NACO is one of the world's leading airport consultancy and engineering firms offering integrated planning and design services. As an airport architect and planner I have been working on different projects around the world, ranging from airport master planning projects and airport city development to the design of passenger terminal buildings. My main focus is the Chinese market and I have been heavily involved in a wide range of airport and airport city projects all over the country, including major projects in Shenzhen, Xi'an and Urumqi. Besides working on several terminal competitions and other airport projects, I am co-responsible for NACO business development and project coordination within China. I have also worked on various projects in the Netherlands, Europe, Russia/CIS, Middle East and SE Asia.

Van Don International Airport, Vietnam

For the duration of one year I was stationed in Vietnam to provide airport planning and design services to Sun Group, the developer and current operator of Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province. I provided design and consultancy services on terminal planning and design, landside planning, apron planning, concession planning and design, CIP and VIP facilities, baggage handling and security screening, and on signage and wayfinding incl. flight information display design (FIDS). In addition I performed weekly site visits to monitor construction progress and to safeguard and provide report on the terminal's functionality. My work required close cooperation with other experts of NACO as well as with our client Sun Group and has been highly valued by them.

Delft Area, Netherlands

Besides my full-time job as airport engineer at NACO, I want to further develop my skills and expertise by participating in challenging competitions and by carrying out small projects as an independent architect and urban designer.

Rotterdam Area, Netherlands

During my 2nd year at TU Delft I worked as a junior architect/intern at the office in Rotterdam. My tasks included functional and preliminary architectural design, and 2D and 3D model making. This internship helped me to develop my design and modelling skills, furthermore the office allowed me gain insight in the professional field of architecture and in the design and construction industry as a whole.
