Rabo Carbon Bank connects carbon farmers with corporates seeking to meet net-zero commitments and offset unavoidable emissions. Our project focusses on large scale farmers in Brazil, where trees planted on degraded land can sequester carbon, while regenerating soil and providing other benefits to the farmer.I initiated this project, and within a year we set up a pilot with farmers planting 100.000s of indigenous trees. The current focus is on scaling and operationalising this project. Knowledge of farmers, carbon certification, forestry and the carbon markets are key in achieving this.

Validating Mid-Sized Farmers as a potential new target group, by setting up the ConnectedFarmer project for grain farmers in the US.With Connectedfarmer we developed the Farm ROI platform, which allows farmers and their advisors to make and execute a marketing plan based on the (financial) position of the farmer. At the click of a button it also provides access to working capital to prevent having to sell grains at low prices because of cash constraints.Project via OneUp

Finding new business opportunities for high capacity energy storage and energy management in B2B market. Placing large batteries (or other energy storage) at companies enables for expansion of renewable energy sources like solar and wind, without increasing the strain on our national power grid. It also improves energy efficiency and creates opportunities for new business models like energy and congestion trading. Working title 'DuuCo'. Project via Aimforthemoon.

Developing a new service for the customers of Klasmann-Deilmann, world leader in supplying growing media for the agriculture and horticulture industry. Log&Solve is a user-friendly dashboard that allows growers and farmers to track their crops and make decisions based on data instead of experience. After testing and building the first prototypes myself, the team expanded and Log&Solve is now scaling internationally.

I created an elaborated and interactive map of the data flows in and around the company to identify value-adding processes which could lead to new business opportunities, and focussed on supporting pension funds with regulatory reporting.

Voltogo develops portable high capacity batteries for consumers to power their electrical outboard motors.The user-friendly battery can easily be carried, charged at home, or fast-charged at certain waterside cafes in Amsterdam. It comes with an App that monitors battery level and battery lifetime for 2nd hand market value. Voltogo's network of of fast-chargers increases the range of boats across the city, brings cafes new customers and saves the local government heavy investment in public waterside charging stations.

Designing a deployable baby cot based on technology of the European Space Agency: from abstract sketches to a fully functional prototype and plans for production. It included market and user research, brainstorms and sketches, contact with potential producers and a business trip to Taixing, China, to closely cooperate with a factory owner. My graduation was supervised by Prof. Bruno Ninaber-Van Eyben.

Assisting in the developement of various new products. Activities included building test models, testing prototypes, Solidworks 3D modeling, packaging design, idea sketching, product photography and communication with suppliers.
