I am a partner and shareholder in a boutique style consultancy firm specializing in future-proof regulatory change powered by strong human connections and technology. Our services cover regulatory change, financial risk management, sustainability, non-financial risk, Artificial Intelligence & Regtech, Young Professionals training & development and C-suite level coaching. At present I also hold two independent non-executive positions. Prior to joining ACE + Company, I have operated for over 30 years in the banking and financial services industry. Most recently I have acted - in a full-time interim capacity - as European CEO and Group CRO for a global end-to-end wealth management platform. Prior to that I was the CRO and deputy CEO of the European subsidiary of the largest Japanese bank. Before that that I spend most of my career in Rabobank International and Rabobank’s offices in the metropolitan region of Amsterdam.My expertise is divers and throughout my career I have operated both in the 1st and the 2nd line. With my roots in financial markets and derivatives, over time I broadened my scope and transitioned from risk taker to risk controller and - manager. Through my various positions I have built a solid understanding of commercial banking, lending, credit risk management, integrated risk management, compliance matters, KYC/AML and the challenging field of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) topics.As former CRO and (deputy) CEO I have developed a good understanding of boardroom dynamics, 1- and 2-tier board structures, C-suite coaching and how to interact with regulators, auditors, stake and shareholders.Next to my professional career -as a member of various Non-Executive and Advisory Boards, I have further learned to balance different interests, engage effectively in stakeholder management and come to understand supervision.
