The Entrepreneurial Education Manager (EEM) at Mayo Clinic's Office of Entrepreneurship is a first-of-its-kind enterprise-wide position which I designed and created within Mayo Clinic. As EEM, I supervise a dynamic team of coordinators, interns, and innovation professionals, managing both the budget and strategic planning of the office. My responsibilities extend to developing and delivering contemporary and pioneering training programs in Clinical Innovation and Entrepreneurship.In collaboration with the team, I've designed and delivered an accredited multi-course curriculum affiliated with the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. This includes specialty workshops for workforce development and the organization of innovation and business pitch competitions such as the Alligator Tank and Space Medicine Research Pitch.Our work extends beyond education; we actively promote (female) leadership and diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship. We also facilitate educational support for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant opportunities, enabling Mayo Clinic colleagues to collaborate swiftly and effectively with U.S. small businesses to bring their innovations from the lab to patient care.
