Buma Music in Motion (BMIM) is the platform for the innovative use of music in games, film, advertising, television. Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) is a non-profit, European artist only, 100% showcase festival and music conference. Selling out each year ESNS attracts over 4.000 professional delegates, including 400 international festivals, and showcases around 350 European artists for over 40.000 visitors total. The international music conference takes place in the conference centre, De Oosterpoort, with 150 panels, keynotes, interviews, workshops, dinners, pitches, parties, presentations and meetings on the latest developments in the European and international music, media, production and interactive industry.

Buma Music in Motion is an event solely dedicated to the innovative use of music in media. With a cross selection of key speakers from the global creative industries, the Buma Music in Motion conference offers a broad program addressing the various ways music can be integrated within multimedia products. Furthermore, we organize network meetings at other events such as Musexpo in Los Angeles, c/o pop in Cologne, Ciclope Festival in Berlin and Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht.

The EAVM is a two year course which, upon completion, gives the participants full university credits, which can also be transferred to other European universities. This is an educational opportunity for directors, managers and others responsible for event operations in popvenues, arenas, stadia, congress centres, performing arts theatres and other similar venues. EAVM students learn the best management practices on crowd management, marketing, venue contracts, booking and scheduling, producing and more from leading industry professionals. Rotterdam Media Commission supports the media industry in the port city of Rotterdam. The main goals for the RMC are to economically strengthen the various sectors in interactive media, gaming, film, television ánd radio and music. The Music and Radio Commissioner forms a bridge between organizations in the music sector and knowledge, government and educational institutes and manages and shapes the city’s policies regarding music. The Commissioner will also make sure organizations can get in touch with each other. Promoting Rotterdam as a true music city is also an important task.

Metropolis Festival is an unique one day annual music festival in summer. The aim of the event is to present surprising, innovative and talented acts out of the wide range of alternative popular music under the theme 'New Music First'. The festival is free of charge to an audience of approx. 40.000 visitors.
