The firm that I am working in specializes in developing mixed-use apartment building projects. I also conduct visits to other sites belonging to sister companies in order to provide consultation services for various different construction projects needed.Responsibilities:· Perform inspections to various construction and finishing works in the sites and after their approval, prepare and issue payment certificates in accordance to the works completed.· Prepare and/or review quantity take-offs, and Bill of Quantities for various construction and installation works needed in the projects.· Attend progress and coordination meetings.· Coordinate with the consultant and project management staff to ensure that materials, labor are provided in a timely manner.· Performed inspection and consultation services to a low-volume road project built for a coffee farm belonging to Horra Anderacha Coffee Plantation, a sister company. Proposals and recommendations were made to improve the long-term quality of the road.· I was assigned as a member of an inspection team to conduct a site visit to the various coffee processing farms belonging to Ethio Gabana, a sister company. My role was to evaluate the current nature of the sites and based on the investigations, proposals were made for the construction and/or renovation of various structures, including warehouses, concrete water tanks, concrete floor beds, worker accommodations, etc.· Examining formwork and reinforcing steel for different stages of the structural works before concrete placement, ensuring proper clearances. In the case of the African Union project, inspections of the prestressing ducts on the slabs were conducted as well.· Reviewing and providing comments on structural shop drawings, project technical specifications, standards, material submissions, and prequalification approvals, among other tasks.· Perform design modifications to current properties to accommodate the needs of the company and other clients.

Saudi ARAMCO – South Dhahran Home Ownership Project (SDHO). I was assigned in the construction of the bridge interchange network that is based on Cast-In-Place Posttensioned Prestressed Concrete Girder and precast prestressed T- Girder designs respectively.Responsibilities:· Conduct self-inspections of construction works prior to official inspections, and review of previous inspection reports of Supervision of construction activities at site. Coordinate with all discipline. Preparation of repair procedures and scope of work.· To coordinate and provide expertise to ensure that the infrastructure is built and will function in accordance with the project requirements.· Attend progress, and coordination meetings.· Inspect material received on site and ensure it is in ordinance with contract specification, handled and stored properly. Conduct off-site inspection for specific materials and plant visit.· Inspection of Formworks and Rebar works for footings and foundation prior to concrete and ensuring clearance prior to concrete work. Monitoring the concrete pouring work including slump test, air content test, and temperature of concrete and also ensure that enough number of vibrators are used for concrete work.· Elevation and location inspection of equipment foundations which includes embedded plates and anchor bolts.· Inspection and verification of concrete mix design, rebar size, grade and spacing, concrete quality and proper techniques used in placing, and finishing operations.· Witnessing the field test of the activities at various construction sites. · Conducting site visits to the samples of materials to be going to use at site and approving the samples of the materials as per the standards.

Assigned to the Mecca Third Ring Road Project. Throughout my tenure, I alternated between site, lab and desk works.
