My name is Mabel McDonald. I am an undergraduate student at Leeds Beckett University, studying Computer Science. I have always loved the subject Computer Science so the fact that I am studying it at degree level was a long term and thrilling ambition of mine.Alongside my GCSEs and A Levels, the subject I primarily enjoyed was GCSE Computer Science following onto A Level Computer Science. Additionally over the years, I have independently completed many online courses in a range of different programming languages, such as Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and Java. So as you can see I have developed quite an interest in the programming side of Computer Science.Recently I have started tutoring Computer Science to both GCSE and A-Level, which I am finding extremely rewarding. I really enjoy being able to help the next generation to develop their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject.I've recently been delighted to be given the honour of the opportunity to manage a team outside my degree studies. I was thrilled to be appointed as treasurer of the Computing Society in my first term and recently the opportunity came up to be the team leader of group in Health and Wellness in the ICE21 project so I stepped up the challenge.
