The mission of the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) is to provide training, investigative support and research to agencies and entities involved in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of economic and high-tech crime.A non-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting Law Enforcement in the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of economic and high-tech crime, NW3C has been continuously funded through competitive grants for over three decades. NW3C membership consists of Law Enforcement agencies from all 50 states and four continents.While NW3C has no investigative authority itself, its job is to help law enforcement agencies better understand and utilize tools to combat economic and high-tech crime.

To teach and conduct computer forensics, digital investigations, Social media investigations, Cell Phone analysis including JTAG and Cell Tower analysis.

Assist with course development of entry-level courses. Instructor for Basic Data Recovery and Acquisition, Identifying and Seizing Electronic Evidence and the Train-the-Trainer component, Secure Techniques for Onsite Preview, Intermediate Data Recovery and Analysis, Basic Online Technical Skills, and currently developing an online investigators course. Team lead for ISEE and ISEE T-3. Provide technical assists to State, Local, and Tribal law enforcement when requested. Provide testing and evaluation of software/hardware products.

Ad Hoc: Faculty for Safe Haven I & II, 2005 to 2006Curriculum consists of online investigations, basic computer forensics, and mock trials. Online investigations allow students to go online in an uncover mode for hands-on experience. Basic computer forensics explains what digital media is, how it is stored, and what the basic process is for a forensic examination. The mock trial consists of a law enforcement computer examiner and defense expert testifying in a computer exam.

Retired, 1998 to 2007Assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce. Investigated general criminal activity, fraud, theft, violent crimes including murder, and internal investigations. Conducted all computer crime investigations for the Sheriff's department, including forensic analysis of digital media. Conducted courses in the "Bag and Tag" of digital media to 75 deputies. Provided seminars to local high schools on the "dangers of the Internet". Delivered numerous presentations about computer forensics and online investigations to the public and organizations such as the Rotary, Lyons, and Kiwanis clubs.
