The Autodesk Construction Cloud steps in as a central and robust platform everyone on a project can utilize to get their jobs done safely and effectively. They can see the latest plans, request information, manage changes, track budgets, formulate schedules and just about anything else that's needed to keep what appears from the outside to be chaos, as safe, organized, and efficient construction.My role is focused on building out an effective way to approach administration on the Autodesk Construction Cloud for mom-and-pop shops all the way up to the largest design and construction companies in the world.

Produced screen mock-ups, user research summaries, and defensible recommendations.Facilitated 15+ user research interviews and 20+ usability testing sessions to create in-depth personas, user journey maps, and bring data to design and validation decisions.

Worked with a small team to create and lead design thinking workshops with engineering teams across North America, enhancing product user experiences and spreading a design thinking mindset.Collaboratively tackled ambiguous open-ended challenges provided by external team leadership such as, "Our app engagement is decreasing, what should we do about it?", "Why do we sell proportionally fewer trucks in this region?" and "Will this onboarding approach work?" Led UW’s electric motorcycle design team through club branding & sponsorship using sprints, wireframing, iterative prototyping, and design reviews. Collaborated with a team of Project Managers to bring new Skyjack scissor lifts, articulating booms, telescopic booms, and telescopic handler machines to market through organizing machine reviews, material and parts tracking, and issue tracking throughout Skyjack's design, build, and test development phases.In addition to my given responsibilities, I also applied previously learned UX research skills to initiate and conduct contextual research and heuristic evaluations for numerous company workflows. These explorations allowed me to identify a wide range of potential process improvements resulting in multiple pitched and implemented projects.Learned the fundamentals of project management, lean manufacturing, and insights into what it takes to bring a profitable, reliable, full package product to market. Applied a wide range of user research techniques and an iterative design process to identify, pitch, and carry through projects well catered to using 3D printing technologies.Applied contextual inquiry and ethnographic research techniques, or more simply put: questioned, observed and when safe to do so, tried for myself day-to-day tasks of plant workers, engineers, project managers, machinists, and maintenance staff to explore and define problem spaces. This research resulted in dozens of initiatives aimed to enhance employee enjoyment, safety, effectiveness, and/or efficiency.Through my application of UX research, even in the internal end-user context, I learned the true power of displacing your own perspective and utilizing UX research to allow a more holistic understanding of problem spaces. I also learned the value of getting MVP's out early to be experimented with, often broken, and returned with constructive feedback to quickly iterate and land on useful solutions.
