I am the current Gopher Tortoise Compliance Biologist for the Northeast region of the Division of Wildlife Diversity in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I am a alumna of Clemson University and obtained my Bachelors of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, along with a minor in French Studies. During my time at Clemson, I was involved in the Eastern Box Turtle Home Range and Habitat Selection research at Clemson University for two years. I have presented this research for the 2023 Focus on Creative Inquiry Symposium and at the 2024 Southeastern Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (SEPARC) Conference. Before this, I was a Naturalist Intern at Fripp Island, South Carolina where I and another intern developed a Loggerhead Sea Turtle research project involving nest and artificial light density along the beach. Before this, I worked on a conservation research project involving the home range and habitat selection of the Northern Pinesnake in northeast Georgia.I was the President of the Solid Green Student Club at Clemson University, as well as a member of the Wildlife Society Student Chapter. I also interned with Clemson Extension under the Oconee County 4-H Agent, the Water Resources Agent and the Natural Resources Agent. I have worked extensively tabling for 4-H and Clemson Extension during my time at Clemson University.I was the cofounder and coleader of the the Wildlife Club in Pickens County 4-H for two years. In 2022, I was Miss Green Wave 2022, a titleholder involved in the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Org., which works to provide scholarships and empower young women in South Carolina. During this, I advocated for reptile conservation in South Carolina through public speaking events, social media engagement, as well as the Miss SC Competition.
