My interest in music and technology began with classical violin lessons as a boy. In High School I developed an interest in Pop music and I began teaching myself to play electric guitar which continues to this day. I began performing at a young age and growing up in New York City allowed me the opportunity to participate in the New York scene since the sixties. Practically from my first session in a real studio I, like so many others, became fascinated with the art and science of recording. My early goal was to learn how to produce recordings of my own original music and eventually I became involved with productions of other artists as well. Professionally I developed an interest in the nuts and bolts of audio electronics and studio design and construction. Currently I have more than 20 years of experience in recording studio installation and maintenance. This includes audio electronics troubleshooting and repair.I have extensive experience with audio workstation systems, both as a user and as a system integrator. While in Japan I was the manager of a project to develop DAW systems for use in broadcast, post production, and recording studios. My specification for systems using Steinberg Nuendo for Windows XP systems were adopted by the Japanese distributor of the software and used in major broadcast studios including Asahi TV Osaka, NHK (Japanese National Broadcasting), The Osaka Symphony Hall, Osaka Arts University, FM Osaka, and many others.I gave seminars and demonstrations of studio techniques and developed course curriculum at The Osaka School of Music and The Tokyo Creative Arts Schools. The schools have fully equipped professional grade studios with SSL consoles and Protools HD systems. I also engineered and mixed student artists for presentations to Japanese record labels.Specialties: Guitar playing and music composition. Studio design and integration for music production. Audio maintenance and repair with specialization in Solid State Logic analog and digital products. I have also received training from SSL in installation of their digital products.
