Since first joining the North of Boston Media Group I held a variety of reporting and editing roles, primarily with The Daily News of Newburyport and The Eagle-Tribune. Prior to my roles listed above, I spent three years working on the sports desk at The Eagle-Tribune. The three years before that I covered both news and sports for The Daily News of Newburyport. I also contributed to the company's magazines and served as Sports Editor for The Derry News weekly for two years.

Spent all four years of college working for The Daily Campus, eventually working up to Managing Editor, the paper’s highest editorial position. Other responsibilities and notable accomplishments from this time include:• Covered UConn men’s basketball’s 2011 Big East and NCAA championships• Covered UConn football in 2010-11 Fiesta Bowl• Two-time National Hearst Journalism Award winner (2012, 2013)• Connecticut SPJ Award | First Place for Best Sports Feature (2011)
