As a Bar Back, it is my job to ensure that the surfaces are not covered in plastic cups. It is also my responsibility to make sure that ice levels in the wells are adequately filled and that the garbage bins of the bartenders do not over flow. I will also be grabbing replacement bottles of alcohol throughout the night, in addition to restocking beer.

One of the assets of having multiple floors in an establishment is that there are several options in terms of both seating arrangements, as well as capacity. However, the kitchen distributes the food and it is the responsibility of the food runner to ensure that the food makes it to the appropriate location in a timely manner. Essentially backing up the server, it is my job to ensure the food makes it safely to the consumer whether they are upstairs, downstairs, or even on the outdoor patio.

As a bar back I am tasked with making sure that all the bartenders are constantly fully stocked with cups, alcohol, and supplies so as to allow them to serve as many drinks as efficiently as possible. I do this by making runs to retrieve cups, bottles, and also taking care of messes. I am also responsible for set ups and take downs of specific things such as dishwashers and patio furniture.

As a referee it is my job to control the game of soccer and to ensure that lines of communication remain open between myself, the players, the coaches, as well as the fans. This involves being outgoing and confident in my decisions in order to prevent any sense of doubt in my abilities from the people whose safety and overall experience is ultimately in my hands. In 2012, I was awarded through the Ajax FC the Overall Referee of the Year award as the most outstanding referee the club had to offer.

As a four day special event, our goal was to push out as many samples of MiO as possible. MiO is a revolutionary liquid water enhancer created by Kraft. We interacted with people as they boarded the Squirtcar (an extended street car turned concert venue) and offered them MiO samples and also Polaroid pictures by which they could commemorate the experience while they enjoyed the performance by artists in a truly unique venue for a truly unique experience!I have also worked as a runner on a project for Unilever called GuyQ. We distributed men's care samples at World Pride in downtown Toronto. My job was to ensure that the carts were always full by running boxes to and from the supply truck.Also having worked with Kraft Dinner, I have very much enjoyed working with Mosaic. The Kraft Dinner activation involved setting up a Fun Shop downtown and allowing people to let their fun out for prizes. This included dancing, pretending to be a chicken or what have you. We also did a Kiosk where we would pay for people's menial tasks such as parking and subway tokens, all for encouraging them to have fun. Two of us were selected to take part in the shooting of an online commercial for KD (myself included) and also I was interviewed for CityTV and the Kiosk made an appearance on CP24 Breakfast show.

As the Head Goalkeeper Coach, it is my job to ensure that at the camps for children aged 5-13 that all the basic skills and technical abilities are taught and thoroughly understood. This allows for progression through the carefully designed training program that teaches all the basic skills for goalkeeping within a week's time. Interacting with parents also allows for a social aspect to be present as informing them of their child's progress is important in allowing them to flourish as players. Expressing the importance of certain skills as well as being able to maintain control while still being fun, professional, approachable, and informative is also very important, especially when dealing with younger athletes and children in general.

Helping out at a younger age involved much less than it does now. As a younger player helping the coaches, I was mainly in charge of ball retrieval and providing resistance on corner kicks whilst taking the occasional shot. As I grew into more of a main coaching role, it involved running the warm ups, setting up and running the drills, and even demonstrating most of them. Transitioning in and out of working with Just4Keepers and the Ajax FC, coaching has been a part of my life for a very long time and has allowed for many great opportunities. It has most certainly helped me become the outgoing, energetic, and certainly more patient person that I am. Since beginning University, I have not yet been able to return to coaching, hence the end date.
