Overall site general management responsibilities for 300 employee, 6 building campus supporting injectable hormone, parasiticides oral solid dose and non sterile liquid manufacturing. Developed strategic plans for regulatory compliance remediation of manufacturing operations including significant work force reductions. Managed the remediation of Operations, Planning , Procurement, Technical Services, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to meet FDA consent decree. All departments operating procedures were revised, existing organization staffing was reviewed to ensure that education, skill and training were sufficient to meet requirements and recruitment and replacement carried out as required. Capital expenditures of >$16M were approved and executed to remediate facilities including Aseptic fill, Oral solid dose and non sterile liquid fill.

North America

In 2006 Teva API division acquired additional facilities in north America. Evaluated business and capital plans, recruited staffed process and project engineers and managed $12 million capital budget and capital projects for Teva's North America ( USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico) Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Division, API, for oncolytic, hormone and antibiotic products. Expanded oncolytic, and steroid manufacturing facilities in Taluca Mexico. Rebuilt utilities and manufacturing facilities in Guayama PR. Executed product technology transfer for new products between Teva manufacturing facilities and between R&D and operations.

Mexico, Missouri

Directed plant operations representing 150 employees and $26 million operating budget for a amoxicillin and cephalexin antibiotic API facility. Successfully rationalized operations and supply chain by purchase of advanced intermediates reducing operating expenses by $5 million. While increasing output of semis synthetic antibiotics by 40% executed significant work force reductions from 150 to 90 while maintaining excellent union working relationships. Substantially improved quality, safety environmental and regulatory compliance. Implemented Process Hazard Management plans including LDAR and preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

Greater St. Louis Area

Directed plant operations for Rhodia's aspirin API facility in St Louis. Tasked to effect significant improvement in operating costs while improving quality, safety and customer service. Developed a strategic plan and implemented performance metrics with measurable goals and objectives. Improved plant culture through routine personal visits, meetings with all employees, enhanced communications with the union leadership and organizational development. Installed plant automation involving sequence automation of batch reactors was completed. Developed and managed R&D organization for the rapid development, approval, construction and launch of mother liquor recycle project leading to significant raw material cost reductions. St Louis was winner of president's safety award 1998.

Responsible for general management including Operations HR, Accounting, quality and safety. Improvements to product quality resulted in a 15% increase in sales to the food additives market. New plant safety systems were installed including a isobutylene plant off gas flare.
