CurrentTo develop, establish and implement strategies and policies for the safe and efficient operation of UK airspace in accordance with Ministerial Directions to the CAA and appropriate UK legislation and to ensure that such policies are in accordance with national and, where appropriate, international regulations, conventions and safety management principles. To perform the role of Project Officer in respect of the regulatory approval of airspace change proposals in accordance with the DAP Airspace Charter.To participate in various groups at national or international level as directed to ensure UK airspace is developed safely and efficiently and that DAPs other statutory obligations are observed. To influence international developments in a manner that ensures that UK interests are safeguarded to the greatest extent possible. To undertake compliance monitoring of areas of UK airspace policy and regulation for which CAS is responsible.To identify and bring safety concerns to the attention of senior management, and recommend appropriate courses of action to rectify these.
