I served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including a tour as an infantryman in Viet Nam, followed by 30 years with the Los Angeles Police Department with assignments in patrol, Metro Division, SWAT for six years, and detective assignments with auto thefts and a homicide detective with Robbery Homicide Division. I retired in 2001, as the Watch Commander and Administrative Officer In Charge of Organized Crime and Vice Division.Currently, I am the President of Semper Fi #1 Memorial Honor Detail, an all Marine unit with over 100 members who provide burials for veterans. I am President of the Inland Koi Society, an organization created to bring about the awareness of the koi hobby, member of community partners of Moreno Valley community college, and member of Veteran's Advisory Board under the direction of U,S, Congressman Mark Takano. I attended college at Mira Costa College, Harbor Jr, College Cal State Los Angeles, and UCLA.
