I managed two departments and twenty employees. I was responsible for hiring, providing training, guidance, discipline, and termination. I maintained Tribal relations between the Federal government, local government, business entities, the public, Indian landowners, and interoffice departments. I also developed standard operating procedures, new contracts, analyzed and implemented business practices, created and implemented budgets and projected advanced business plans. I made executive department decisions and substituted for directors during their absence. I also created and executed presentations to a variety of clients and other departments.

Conducting audits and preparing abstracts of title from documents affecting titles to Indian trust, restricted, and Government-owned lands, including treaties, executive orders, probates, deeds, patents in fee, trust patents, restricted fee patents, orders removing restrictions, certificates of competency; and all highway, railroad, pipeline, telephone, power or electrical easements, plats, mortgages, leases, permits, etc. I research and analyze survey and mapping data available to assure legal descriptions are accurate and conveyances have been made in accordance with treaties, laws, executive orders, etc., as noted in records and plats. I compose correspondence to request missing title information and copies of documents from the agency involved, Central Office and other federal agencies disclosed during review of source documents, abstract of titles, and audit of land descriptions. I analyze land descriptions using rectangular survey, metes and bounds, aliquot parts, etc. to determine correctness of description, acreage of tract, location of rights of way, and other encumbrances or restrictions. I prepare title status reports of individual tracts as to land description, ownership, and encumbrances for certification. I prepare modifications to probate inventories pursuant to federal regulations and prepares notifications for additional hearings to the Administrative Law Judge when different lines of descent present from original orders. I review clerical staff work in preparation of extracts for use in constructing land index and title control. I am currently acting as supervisor in the Pacific Regional Office for the Lands, Title and Records office and also act as manager when required.

I oversaw an employee, made sure data entered into TAAMS by LTRO staff is correct, prepared inventories for probate, prepared reports for DQI, LTRO and the DOI. I have worked the Southern Plains region and the Pacific region. I have scanned and prepared documents for TAAMS and TFAS entries. I work with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Lotus Notes, TAAMS, TFAS and ProTrac. I also encode into TAAMS for the DQI and LTRO contract and I have written an SOP which was approved by the LTRO manager. I also set up a contract for the LTRO Inventory project.
