• Trained in human-centered design, community-based research, and as a research assistant for programing catered to specific communities.• Assisting with Creating Peace, ReCAST, and THRIVE programs by helping review and clean data collected in the past, as well as organizing and filing data that is currently being collected. • Learned communication skills through emailing, texting and calling participants while reaching out and collaborating with marginalized communities; specifically black and brown youth in the Pittsburgh area to improve their quality of life. • Practiced anti-racist and mindful research through monthly workshops provided by the lab.• Gained knowledge of human research techniques such as rapid qualitative analysis, and organization skills in both the digital and physical space; cleaning and inputting data into custom databases as well as Redcap, navigating airtable, excel, and organizing filling cabinets.
