I am a software engineer with experience in data analysis who excels in working with IoT Hub and Docker containers, as well as isolating and interpreting specific patterns in large sets of data.I graduated from the University of Nevada in 2014 as the Westfall Scholar for the Physics Department, which is the award given to the top graduate in each department of the College of Science every year. I would also later be named a co-author on a paper that was published in Nature Communications for work I did as Undergraduate Research Assistant, for which the link can be found below. After graduating, I felt an obligation to help those who could not help themselves, so I enlisted in the United States Army as an Airborne Infantryman. During my time in the Army, I was fortunate enough to travel around the world, including jumping into Normandy for the 72nd anniversary of D-Day, a three month rotation to Ukraine and a four month rotation to Latvia to help deter Russian aggression in those regions, and a nine month deployment to Afghanistan. I would eventually become a Team Leader and earn the rank of Sergeant.I served five years in the Army, and transition out because I decided it was time to move on to the next chapter of my life, and to apply all of the lessons I learned as a researcher and as a soldier to solving real world problems using modern data analytics. In my downtime, I can be found either walking my dog, Finn (who I was lucky enough to rescue from Afghanistan with the help of the charities Nowzad and No Dog Gets Left Behind), or playing rugby with the Valley Kangaroos.
