Petroleum Refinery Operation Quality Specialists Provide assistance to the Operations Department on all petroueum product quality and related issues with a view to actively promote improvements in this area. This support covers areas of our quality system, plant laboratories, main laboratory support, customer complaints, technical guidance on product manufacture, identification of opportunities for improvement, additive optimisation, plant trouble shooting, projects, etc.- Provide assistance on quality and product related issues. This also means identification of opportunities for efficiency improvements and recommendation of system and procedural changes to achieve same.- Operations Department expert on matters relating to ISO 9002. Quality SME within Ops. - Assists with systems maintenance, compliance audits and implementation in areas not yet listed.- Monitors corrective action closeouts and assists with definition of action to be taken. Advises the area quality reps and directs their activities.- Special interest in aviation fuels to assure product quality fit for purpose. Audits done on a 6 monthly schedule and advise those in the production chain. IATA audits.- Investigation of customer complaints originating in the refinery and tracking them through to implementation of corrective actions. Use of Taproot / Root Cause Analysis.- Produces a quarterly product quality summary for the department outlining trends and opportunities for improvement. Translate this to system improvements where applicable. - Assist with troubleshooting of plant operation as it relates to product quality.- Monitor product quality and advises on trends that may result in potential problems.
