Current• Install and maintain HVAC control systems: Proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining controls for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.• Wiring and termination: Skilled in running, terminating, and testing low-voltage control wiring, including VAVs (Variable Air Volume units) and TSTATs (thermostats).System integration: Knowledgeable in integrating HVAC systems with building automation systems (BAS) and ensuring seamless communication between devices.• Control panel assembly: Experienced in building, wiring, and troubleshooting control panels for HVAC systems.• Reading and interpreting blueprints: Capable of reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide installation and troubleshooting.• Commissioning: Familiar with configuring and commissioning controllers and devices, using software tools for initial setup and system adjustments.• Pipe bending and conduit installation: Skilled in bending conduit and installing raceways to house electrical wiring for HVAC systems.• Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing control system failures in HVAC equipment.• Compliance with electrical codes: Knowledgeable of local and national electrical codes related to HVAC control systems.• Collaboration with HVAC technicians: Effective communicator when coordinating with HVAC technicians and other trades on complex installations.
