I performed entry-level audit procedures across various financial statement areas and aided in facilitating private company audits in the education sector.

I prepared tax returns for individuals (Form 1040), S corporations (Form 1120-S), estates and trusts (Form 1041), and partnership LLCs (Form 1065). I was entrusted with bookkeeping for corporations across upstate South Carolina.

As an implementation intern, I reviewed projected implementation expense plans sent to clients and compared them to the implementation expense results of each project. I used the comparative data to create an implementation expense tool for Eton to use going forward. The tool would have projected implementation expenses over $300,000 dollars closer than their previous method of projection for their past 6 projects. I had the opportunity to collaborate with domestic and international Eton employees on various projects over the course of the summer.

In this position I created a database that summarized the key components of over 400 incentive compensation plans within the pharmaceutical industry. I developed a user interface that facilitated the searchability of data, data comparison, and the identification of key trends in the data set. I attended meetings with Tegra Analytics clients to understand the role that incentivized compensation plays in the achievement of the client’s business goals. Finally, I solicited feedback on the development of the database from key Tegra employees on a weekly basis to maximize its relevance, usability, and business impact.

In my role as a youth intern I was responsible for fostering the spiritual growth of rising sophomores and juniors. I developed personal relationships with church members to promote participation and engagement within the youth group and actively participated in regular developmental meetings with the rest of the staff. My team was tasked with the planning and organizing of special events such as retreats and weekly youth group meetings.

As a head counselor I was responsible for the safety and supervision of 8-12 campers between the ages of 6 to 13 years old. I acted as the skill head for disc golf where I was responsible for dozens of campers throughout the day and organized events during the skill to maximize the camp experience. I was also responsible for planning and facilitating events such as camping trips, competitions in disc golf, and cabin activites. Each head counselor was also tasked with communicating with each camper’s parents via hand-written letters to update them on their child’s camp experience.
