Part of a crew that maintains the Golf Course at Glenmoor Country Club. Also working extra hours maintaining a high end property and working with a partner to construct stone steps and benches along the property.

In charge of all pool operations.Hiring and training of lifeguards and swim instructors as well as scheduling. Maintaining pool chemicals and cleanliness. Perform upkeep and maintenance of pool pumps, motors and equipment.

Managed a staff of about 20 lifeguards and swim instructors. Hiring, training and scheduling lifeguard staff as well as maintaining pool chemicals and cleaning.Performed maintenance and upkeep of motors and pumps.

The final 3 years working Ocean Rescue was for Surfside Beach. I worked my way up to atop supervisor in charge of a large section of beach with 15 plus lifeguards. I would drive the beach on an emergency vehicle and respond to any emergency or non emergency when called. I would train lifeguards throughout the summer and make sure everyone was doing what they were supposed to be doing and looking and acting professional on the beach.

Ring up customers, stock shelves, assist customers and cleaning duties

3rd year of ocean rescue. Due to my living situation I decided to work for a company a little farther south down the beach. This area was also a much more dangerous area as far as currents went and this area had even more than years past. I participated in nearly 30 rescues and emergency situations. The most intense day was when I was covering a very large area alone with a faulty radio and a man had a heart attack in the water causing him to ingest a large amount of water and drown. I spent 15 minutes performing CPR as the only emergency response person on the scene. During this time I got the victim breathing again only to watch him slowly slip away which repeated itself 3 times until EMS finally arrived and took him away in the ambulance with a pulse. I gained massive amounts of experience this year and learned I could handle the worst of the worst.

Got the chance to Snowboard everyday even at work as a lift operator where my job was to start slow and stop the lift when needed, put up safety equipment and maintain the overall safety of my area and patrons unloading from the chair.

2nd year Ocean Rescue, participated in 10 rescues as well as a city lifeguard competition called the Salt Games.

Summer ocean lifeguardMy job was to maintain the safety of my section of beach as well as rent out chairs and umbrellas to beach goers. In my 2 summers I rescued 12 people from water emergencies and dealt with countless other issues that arose over this period of time. I was also a part of the emergency response team which patrols an extra 2 hours after all other guards are off. Lastly I was part of the jet ski team which gets launched in certain emergencies and on the busiest summer days.
