Mark, or better known as ‘Maca’, was born in 1986 and raised in the city of Tilburg in the Netherlands.After his study as micro biotechnological engineer, Maca jumped right into the dance scene.With a background in martial arts like; taekwondo and capoeira (where he got his nickname ‘Macacinho’), he quickly found his way around the dancefloor and within all the moves and grooves the hiphop culture has to offer.Where he started off with the style hiphop at the Hiphop Factory in his hometown, it didn’t take long before Maca discovered the other remaining street styles like popping, locking and breaking.After spending more than 15 years of training, teaching and performing, Maca eventually grew up to be a respected and experienced all-round dancer within the dance community in the Netherlands.Nowadays Maca is co-owner of one of the few rare freestyle schools in the province of Brabant: Cypher HQ. Together with his crewmembers of Cypher Active Crew, bboy Arjuna and bboy Willis, they strive to preserve the original values of the hiphop culture by education the youth in their community center in the city of Den Bosch.
