My name is Cara King and I am a senior at Clemson University pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Graphic Communications. I recently finished my first internship over the summer working as the Production Art Intern at The Graphic Cow Co. in Greenville, SC. In this position I primarily used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create production ready designs for various apparel options. I also had the opportunity to work with artificial intelligence programs to create unique design templates for their library of art. I worked closely with the sales team to ensure customers received unique designs they felt confident in for their company, event, or merchandise. The two most important skills I learned from this internship experience, among others, were attention to detail and collaborative communication with my team and customers. I am currently working on creating a fragrance brand specializing in room scents in my Packaging and Specialty Printing class. The goal of this project is to design cohesive and realistic functional labels, promotional labels, and paperboard packages for the product you are assigned to. This project has pushed me to think outside of my typical design style and achieve a functional and aesthetic brand identity for the Lilac House Room Essence Brand.I have a passion for photography and have enjoyed expanding my knowledge on various techniques and styles in the last couple of years. I recently started my freelance business (Cara King Photography) and have had the opportunity to capture some amazing milestones in my client's lives, including college graduation, weddings, and engagements! I am eager to continue learning and improving on my skills for years to come!
