Designed and developed projects to investigate the role of microglia in neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s disease models, resulting in multiple collaborative peer-reviewed publications.Established, led, and maintained cross-departmental collaborations (Departments of Neurology, Pathology, Biology, and Pharmacology) at the University of Washington.Presented findings at multiple national and international conferences, including at the Society for Neuroscience, European Glia Meetings, Keystone Symposia, and HHMI Investigator Meetings.Responsible for writing, management, and successful approval of animal use (IACUC) protocols and modifications.Contributed to the scientific, budgetary, and timeline design of complex grant applications and grant supplements (NIH R01, R21) that were funded successfully.Trained, managed, and mentored 15+ high school, undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate level scientists on the execution of complex experiments that contributed to the project at large over 6 years.
