I am the architect for a migration and refactor of a POC Firebase banking app to a full enterprise banking platform and UI complete with integration APIs, administrative dashboard and customer facing portals.Objectives for the refactor include new feature development, code cleanup and refinement, gathering and documenting all the various services and finally bringing all services into compliance with IT security requirements.I am charged with choosing and evaluating technologies before integrating them into our tech stack, creating and documenting the project structure, development practices, deployment procedures and API services design.I build almost exclusively in TypeScript for this role and deploy using GitHub Actions into Docker Containers and Cloud/Lambda functions.

I am the primary developer on an identity and account management tool. The software is primarily concerned with safeguarding user account information and credential handling.The primary objective was to make a single interface where user account information from numerous systems could be gathered and displayed in a single web application. The data could then be compared and used to troubleshoot problems with accounts.My role in the project is architect and lead developer. I select the technology stack, build tasks and manage project milestones, handle code reviews and mentoring, and finally, deploy the containers to the production environment.

I lead, mentor and am generally accountable for a team of five professional software engineers. I define and clarify specs, design deployment strategies, perform peer reviews and coordinate the team effort. When needed, I also screen, interview and hire team members.When the business subsides, I enjoy returning to the code, striving to solve problems with simple, elegant software applications. Most of my work is done in Java, Spring and Groovy.During my employment at USU I have lead the development and continued maintenance of three major software projects that serve the whole institution including satellite campuses.

When I do contract work, this is where I do it. I do work on the side almost continuously.From Ad distribution networks to mobile apps I have worked on all types of software projects.
