At UCB, Mario Acebes lead the cloud platform teams and Identity Access Management (IAM), from architecture to engineering and operations (Center of Excellence). For that, we introduced DevOps principles to the infrastructure team, to increase the agility with which we can drive UCB’s patient value strategy.Mario defined UCB's new Cloud and Identity Access Management strategy and did not hesitate to participate in the implementation phase with these teams. The definition and maintenance of budgets is part of these objectives as well as financial optimization (via our framework contracts).He selected target domains for transformation carefully, evaluating the impact we can achieve. We leveraged state of the art technologies for our main activities around (mobile and web) application and machine learning platforms. Using agile deployment, our building blocks came together in a positive feedback loop that drives continuous improvement across applications, data, and analytics.We hosted modern systems of engagement to increase patient value and trust. They were built and deployed via fully automated processes and leveraged machine learning and natural language processing. We infused medical smart devices with Artificial Intelligence.

As Technical Director, Mario is repsonsible for the development of the Infrastructure offers and Managed Services Offers. Responsible for Devoteam Group:- Co-Founder of the new Business Unit Structure in Europe (carried by the group) and develop the new Microsoft Azure Managed Service Offering- In charge of the daily operation to meet budget, commit to timelines and achieves financial goals- Lead, motivate and coach our passionate team.- Participate to develop new Architecture and Automation Process for the Microsoft Azure Managed Service Offering- Together with the Practice Manager, adopt a H2H (humain to humain) approach for developing a customized offer for the customer- Collaborate with the management team to continuously develop, optimize and automate the system, process designed to accommodate to the growth objectives of the organization- Use his disruptive mindset to create new added value opportunities by opening new markets, broadening organizational capabilities and developing key partnerships. - Define incubation and transformation programs to develop these opportunities and guarantee their success thanks to an accurate follow-up.- Develop a recruitment strategy which secures a delivery balance between the incubation and transformations activities and the daily operations.- Invest a significative part of time in the definition of the portfolio of the group.- Support the group's "Controlling" teams in order to optimize the value generatedAs Pre-Sales, Mario actively participates to the selling activities by playing the role of technological reference. He also contributes to the opening of new accounts, enabling growth for his team but also as a final objective for the company. Mario is also Microsoft P-Seller to support the sales activities for Microsoft.As Engagement Manager, Mario is also the guarantor of the good delivery of the mission within his team at the customers. In parallel with his mission as Lead Technical Architect, Mario Carralcasas Acebes become team manager of the practice Datacenter & Cloud Solution. During this period, he daily leads, motivates and inspires around 30 ICT Consultants, encouraging each individuality to share talent within the team and become a "partner" in business with the same vision and objectives.He also communicates closely with the HR Team to hire the right people for the team and retain the best talents. In the context, he always seeks to create a strong dynamic within his team and challenges his colleagues in order to support them in the growth of their individual career. If necessary, Mario Carralcasasas Acebes does not hesitate to support his team in the delevery phase by participating directly or indirectly in their project.

In January 2016, Microsoft asks Mario to be part of the Microsoft P-Seller Program for Devoteam in the COREIO (Infrastructure & Cloud) part. This proposition enables Mario to better understand the sales aspects and improve his skills in this domain.

As recognition for the excellent work provided as a Senior Consultant, his manager proposed him to become the Technical Lead Architect of the "Microsoft Datacenter & Cloud Solution" department. His manager gives him the following responsibilities:- Performs Azure Development and Design work that may include logical design- I/O Design, Cloud Architecture Analysis and Design- Develops Technical Road-Maps for future Azure Cloud Implementations- Develops Business case analysis on potential projects- Ensures security is integrated into all Cloud Architecture Solutions- Performs Advanced Systems Modeling, Simulation and Solution- Acts as a Subject-matter expert around Microsoft Azure for other sales and Solutions Teams- Pre-Sales Activities- Redaction of RFPs and follow-up of the selection of the candidates- And so on

After an analysis of the market, the trend was towards a new area, that of the "Cloud".
