My latest endeavour is the company Deep MedChem---a marriage of Biochemistry/Medicinal Chemistry and Artificial intelligence/Machine learning---In the past three years I had the opportunity to lead the collaboration between The MAMA AI (team of AI experts, ex-IBM Watson, ex-IBM Research) and IOCB Prague (Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry). In a multi-disciplinary team we have been developing AI/ML methods and applications for the field of drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. This collaboration resulted in a joint spin-off company Deep MedChem which productises the results of the collaboration.Before getting full steam on in Deep MedChem, I spent most of my time a Co-founder & Co-CEO at The MAMA AI and served as a Director of Services at TELMA AI. Through my professional journey, I have developed a passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and have led several projects in these domains during my time working at IBM and MAMA AI. Along with my love for AI and ML, I also take pleasure in spending quality time with my family. This can occasionally be challenging due to the demands of starting and scaling up a new companies but I can confidently say that it is worth every bit of the effort.Currently, I enjoy the challenges of taking a startup company off the ground after spending considerable time in a corporate and academic setting. In addition to my professional endeavors, I have varied hobbies including cross-country skiing, golfing, reading, and playing chess and the game of go. I am also a triathlete (a bit rusty but with Ironman 2011 in Regensburg under my belt) and I love to travel.I am a team player and I always welcome new opportunities to collaborate with individuals and organisations to leveraging the practical applications of AI and ML.
