At FinanceKey we are building the NextGen Treasury Platform. By implementing end to end integrations, from customer internal systems to banks and other external treasury partners, we are creating a platform that will give treasurers complete oversight of cash and liquidity in real time. Treasurers will be able to completely automate key workflows, such as payment execution, FX positions, cash forecasting, reconciliation and more, and better yet, ensure that this happens continually, and the results can be viewed immediately.

Appointed Head of Treasury IT following the merger between Nokia and Alcatel Lucent to manage a talented team of Treasury Technologists and the Treasury systems and infrastructure for the Nokia Group. Reported directly to the Corporate Treasurer and other leadership team members to provide guidance and recommendations with regards to the continuous improvement of the Corporate Finance and Treasury platform. Worked closely with internal and external auditors to ensure that Treasury and Treasury IT activities achieved internal and regulatory segregation of duty and compliance standards including PCI and SOX. Liaised with the internal cyber security team to minimise security threats and prevent fraud. Main Achievements * Oversaw the transformation project to combine Alcatel Lucent’s and Nokia’s Treasury and Payment systems into a single cloud-based solution. * Created KPI Dashboards and added oData feeds to allow real time reporting and visualisation of Treasury data with Power BI. * Incrementally reduced external service spend for Corporate Finance and Treasury by 50%. * Invited by Swift to participate in the Swift gpi early adopter program for corporates. * Implemented an Open Banking API (PSD2) solution to retrieve bank balances and transactional data in real time. * Created a new support case tool for handling and managing end user queries and requests.

Manage the mission-critical IT operations and projects for Nokia's global Treasury and Accounting activities in Financial Markets, Middle Office, Back Office, Cash Management and online sales payments. Closely interact with business teams and key stakeholders to define business needs, produce road maps and requirements. Find solutions, recommend procedural changes and contribute to the direction of Treasury and Treasury IT. Evaluate and carry out feasibility studies for new technologies and opportunities in the Treasury domain. Project manage the implementation and delivery to evolve Treasury and the Treasury platform.Act as a technical lead to a team of engineers, and infrastructure specialists, act as the authority on software architecture, MVC application frameworks, data-oriented development, relational databases and development methodologies. Contracted to assist with the carve-out projects for a number of database systems following the sale of Sicpa's commercial ink division to Siegwerk.

Contracted to provide strategic business and project management consultancy in the design, implementation and deployment of the company’s bespoke CRM, Sales and Marketing System across the company’s new UK affiliate consisting of 50 remote merchandisers and 50 office-based employees.Collected, consolidated and documented the business requirements from Sales and Marketing, Finance and Operations departments. Wrote the business case and conducted the gap analysis. Proposed solutions, estimated cost and effort to bridge gaps. Produced project plans, business / logical data models, use cases and new process maps. Acted as the technical authority with regard to the application architecture and development standards. Provided technical consultancy and support to the in-house developers. Carried out system configuration and integration, user acceptance, performance test and issue resolution. Designed and delivered systems training to personnel at managerial and operational levels.

Led the technical planning, implementation, administration and support of an ERP System, Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS): Financials, Foundation, Supply Chain and Manufacturing for a number of international affiliate organisations.Supervised the technical architecture and design of the ERP solution, including the databases (Oracle), the hardware, 3rd party system integration, master data management, as well as access and security.Managed the solution vendors and oversaw all aspects of the maintenance of the solution: system releases, testing and the change management process. Drove the continuous service improvement process and ensured efficient resolution of all identified issues in the system. Designed and implemented a Payment Factory application processing $1bn monthly – coordinating deployment through Citrix to a user base in Switzerland, Finland and Singapore.Reverse engineered a legacy application and developed new SQL Server 2000 database model.Wrote the MVC framework, key business functionality and processes using UML and OO coding practices. (The framework went on to become the foundation for all Treasury applications inside Nokia Finance International BV).

As a member of a central development and deployment team, developed, implemented and supported a bespoke international CRM, Supply Chain and Financial System.Evaluated and led multiple $500k-$1M deployment projects in Slovenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Romania. Overhauled the Change Management and release procedure to achieve company’s ‘one world, one version’ IT strategy. Ensured the adoption of the company’s best practices with regard to application development, implementation and processes.
