He proposed changes to the curriculum that would challenge students at a higher level, introducing them to more complex Javascript concepts. He worked to build out detailed lesson plans, so that future instructors would have better resources to work from. We have used and built upon his curriculum and lessons ever since. He also changed our MakerPrep admission process, proposing a change that tailored the instruction to meet the needs of different student populations. And, on top of all of that, he started the work of building an app to help improve the admissions process for our immersive program. All of these projects were driven by Mac's own initiative--he took full ownership of the work he was doing, and went above and beyond to make sure he left every system he encountered in a better place than it was when he started.
