For three years, I served as a Research Assistant at Western Washington University within the Applied Cognition Research Lab, under the mentorship of Dr. Ira Hyman. In this role, I honed my skills in research coordination by identifying populations, conducting studies and coding subjective data at a 93% intercoder reliability rate. I have a proven track record of working independently while maintaining adherence to study protocols and institutional guidelines, demonstrating sound judgment in data collection and quality control processes.Additionally, my experience as a Certified Behavior Technician at Children's Village has taught me how to navigate complex medical systems. Working in behavioral health at Children’s Village means I am employed through Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic. However, providing cotreats with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Teachers requires me to navigate the policies and procedures for my peers employed through Multi-Care Memorial and the school district. While in this role, I also successfully manage a full caseload of clients, working directly with children for 6 out of 8 hours of my working day. This experience has demanded exceptional time management skills as I balanced client care with administrative responsibilities, including closing medical notes within strict timelines.
