• Conducts independent analysis on acoustic data using both graphical user interfaces and automated detection and classification algorithms.• Provide training to graduate students and volunteers in data analysis, computing, and signal identification.• Assist with creation and maintaining of archiving of derived datasets and associated metadata, including use of remote FTP servers.• Independently manage raw acoustic data archive and backup processes.• Collaborate with other academic institutions on projects, group scientific papers, and external presentations.• Helping set priorities for work that the team requests, and reporting back on progress to the larger group, and also integrating with / helping train new employees taking on other aspects of data processing.

• Attend biweekly meetings with staff members, student representatives, and alumni to communicate weekly changes and events.• Facilitate meetings to promote discussion and open forum for students, staff, graduates, and alumni to voice their ideas for events, projects, etc.• Act as the primary steward, on behalf of the general student population, for all sportsand recreational facilities under the purview of the Board.• Communicate regularly with the Director weekly regarding all operations of the Sports Facilities.• Participate in formal interviews to fulfill director of UC San Diego Sports Facilities position. As chair, the 2016-2017 board was key in participating in the movement of UC San Diego to becoming a Division I school in the Big West Conference. Many of our events throughout the year also helped promote sustainability across campus and in all sports facilities by collaborating and partnering with campus organizations.
