Cinematographer, teacher and founder of the film school BAC (Bucareste Ateliê de Cinema). Rafael worked as Director of Photography in several feature, short and documentary films.​Graduated in Social Sciences at University of São Paulo (USP) with emphasis in Visual Anthropology and Performance Studies, Rafael began his career as a cinematographer in documentary films. He shot the acclaimed documentary "They Killed my Brother", directed by Cristiano Burlan, which won the It’s All True Festival in 2013, at critics and jury categories. Rafael also photographed the feature film “Amador” (2014), selected for the 17th Tiradentes Festival and “Hamlet” (2014), selected for the Rio 2014 Festival. He worked as colorist in the feature film “Sinfonia para um Homem Só”, a finalist at the São Paulo Film Festival of 2013. He is member of Brazilian Society of Cinematographers (Associação Brasileira de Cinematografia - ABC) and Society of Camera Operators (SOC).
