I help lead an Access to Justice Policy project at Rhode Center on the Legal Profession at Stanford Law School, aimed at improving the tools available to advocates, including legal aid organizations, and self-represented litigants as they seek to navigate the court system on matters that may be "small" but which have deep impact on peoples' lives - family law and domestic violence, housing, such as habitability and evictions, debt collection. I'm also engaged at Georgetown Law School and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on projects related to technology, the internet and national security.At Cisco, I managed a team of 450 professionals, that includes legal, employee relations, ethics, investigations and brand protection teams. I helped to build a strong, smart, dynamic and business-focused legal team that achieves great results for Cisco at low cost, leveraging technology wherever possible. I also had the chance to help bring new products to market, to smooth the path for new product introductions and acquisitions by effective planning to remove legal barriers, and to shape legislation affecting the technology industry.
