I write profiles, feature articles and dabble in fiction. I edited Iraynu, a Toronto-based community magazine until its demise in 2011, and freelanced for the Canadian Jewish News and Ami Magazine.

The CIJR is an academic think-tank that specializes in Middle Eastern politics. I am the editor of the Israzine, a biweekly web magazine put out by the CIJR. Access to the Israzine is either through the CIJR homepage or through its Daily Briefing that goes out internationally. Together with my co-editor Nathan Elberg, I recently compiled a book of original essays by prominent aboriginal and nonaboriginal scholars, activists and laypeople entitled Zionism, an Indigenous Struggle: Aboriginal Americans and the Jewish State, soon to be published. This project gave me the opportunity to interview and meet, mainly through their contributions, brilliant men, and women who walk two roads – aboriginal and Jewish. Talk about challenges.

Wearing my other hat as an interior decorator and designer, I help clients spruce up their homes that include choosing colors for the walls; window treatments; accessorizing, redesigning bathrooms and kitchens and all kinds of furniture, primarily helping them show off their space to advantage. Our home is a reflection of our personality, and where we find comfort, peace, and pride of ownership. Pursuing this other track allows me to tap the artistic part of myself; as well as helps me build new relationships with clients and professionals who work in the field. At times, clients and suppliers become close personal friends.
