I led the IT section working as the Business Systems Administrator at Population Services International-UgandaKey Achievements:Led the development of two in-house applications, streamlining internal processes and improving efficiency.Successfully deployed ESXi 6.7 on Proliant ML D380 Gen 9 Servers, enhancing server performance and scalability.Orchestrated the deployment and configuration of virtual machines (VMs), facilitating on-premises server management.Implemented an HR Management Information System on Azure, enabling seamless integration with on-prem Active Directory and single sign-on (SSO) functionality.Spearheaded major network installation setups at all regional offices, ensuring robust and secure data communication.Contributed to network security by configuring and deploying Fortigate firewalls, establishing access policies, IPsec Site-to-Site tunnels, and centralizing management.Responsibilities:Managed a team of developer consultants, overseeing application requirement specifications, code development, testing, and deployment.Administered a 200+ user network across multiple regional offices with a central Head Office Data Center.Oversaw 20+ servers in a VMware virtualized environment with ESXi 6.7 and ESXi 5.0, utilizing NetApp storage.Managed Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print Server roles, AD Federation services, SharePoint, and Office 365.Implemented IT security measures, including the management of four FortiGate NXG firewalls, security risk monitoring, and daily system checks.Coordinated the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.Administered various business systems, including Office 365 and Power BI, and implemented workflows with MS Flow.Monitored system performance daily, promptly addressing security and usability concerns.Implemented comprehensive backup strategies to ensure data integrity.

I Previously worked with PACE, an affiliate to PSI an NGO whose activities are mainly centered on Health and Social marketing particularly in areas of HIV/AIDS prevention and Care, PMTCT, Maternal Health, Family Planning among others. Tunza is one of the many projects PACE is running which is aimed at helping supported clinics gain self-sustainability in lieu of donor funding. One of the many benefits on this project was introducing computing systems in some of the clinics they work with and training users on these systems. I was leading the I.T services on this project.Achievements:- I deployed a Clinical Management System which manages patient data, Clinic financials, Patient queuing in 6 facilities. All facilities reporting data via IPSec to Head office instance running DHIS2. Implemented Dashboards for viewing Application insights.

IT SUPPORT CONSULTANT PROGRAMME FOR ACCESSIBLE HEALTH, EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION (PACE)SEPT 1st, 2012- JANUARY 31st, 2017I also worked as an I.T support consultant at the same organization. While in this position, the following were some of my responsibilities. • Performing Helpdesk function and providing immediate support to Staff. This was done through a helpdesk ticketing system.• Installing and configuring of Windows and Linux servers on the organization network domain, creating domains, subdomains, group logon policies, file shares (File servers), and shared resources like printers. • Creating data visualization dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.• Training staff on existing and new internal workflow systems (ERPs) like Office365 (SharePoint, One Drive, Delve, Power BI, Lync, Forms) • Installing and Configuring Wireless Equipment like Wireless routers and Access points and extending connectivity to Wireless LAN users. • My other role involved configuring Services like FTP/NFS/AS/ on servers in a virtualized environment. • Carrying out System Administration tasks (day to day I.t housekeeping) like maintaining Servers, managing users as well as Computers connected to the Server, Adding users and computers on organizational domain. • Managing Shared Resources • Carrying out routine Backups, and ensuring backup integrity as well as carrying out backup restore checks.
