Conservation and research of wooden objects and furniture.

Atelier Breidenstein is specialised in the conservation and restoration of Boulle marquetry, European and Asian lacquer, Mother-of-Pearl and Gilding. During my internship I have worked on the restoration and of a European Lacquer cabinet. This included documentation, photography and damage mapping and treatment of the decorated and lacquered surface.

Research on painted and overpainted furniture of Amsterdamse School architect and designer P.L. Kramer. During this research a method was developed for removing overpaint from an original painted finish on furniture.

Conservation and restoration of furniture, musical instruments and wooden objects. Preparation and documentation for the Asia > Amsterdam and Huismuziek exhibitions.

In cooperation with Eva Korae of CUT and the UvA a summer project was organised. The goal of this project was to gain experience and exchange knowledge. The project focused on the research and conservation of traditional Cypriot Furniture.

Project assistant on the temporary exhibition 1:1 Period Rooms. Build-up of a Empire Period Room, conservation treatment of the construction and painted surface.

In cooperation with Bruijs & Streep, Kasteel Middachten en the European SHARE project, multiple pieces of furniture from the collection of the Middachten Castle were restored.

Medewerker voor Museum Swaensteijn te Voorburg voor de tijdelijk tentoonstelling over Kunstenaarscollectief De Ploeg, werkzaamheden bestonden voornamelijk uit het maken en geven van rondleidingen en ontvangen van bezoekers.

Kairos-Valeo b.v: Administratief medewerker,werkzaamheden bestonden uit; het invoeren van gegevens bij metingen, verzorgen van de Mailing, begeleiden van tijdsmetingen bij medewerkers van het Erasmus MC te Rotterdam.

Administratief medewerkster bij Gemeentelijke Belastingdienst Den Haag, afdeling Taxatie & Vastgoedinformatie. Werkzaamheden; invoeren en controleren van gegevens, berekeningen en internetdatabases bijwerken.
