As an intern, I assisted daily tasks in the Executive Clemency department. I also attended two petitioner hearings (Chicago July 2014, Springfield October 2014) with the Executive Clemency executives and Board members providing check-in assistance and gaining working knowledge of hearing proceedings. In November, I accompanied a board member to the Jacksonville Correctional Facility to meet with inmates regarding upcoming parole.I also answered phones, checked in mail, accessed the database, and completed other clerical duties during my stay at the Prisoner Review Board.In June, I volunteered for the Summit of Hope event in Springfield, Illinois.

As an Assistant Store Manager, I trained and coached current staff, and trained future associates. During my shift, I was responsible for all 7 cash tills balancing, along with the store vault. As a manager, I set monthly, weekly, and daily store sales goals. Each shift, I set personal and staff sales goals, and encouraged associates to meet and exceed. Along with clerical duties, it was my responsibility to keep the store up to par from a human resources perspective with a cleanliness attitude.
