Working as a medical assistant with UT Health East Texas has allowed me expand my knowledge and skills, as well as gain experience. I have had the honor of traveling to different rural health clinics and working with multiple providers each day and seeing different perspective of care as well as being able to provide care to multiple communities. From in clinic procedures, to immunizations, vital signs, rooming patients, labs, charting, and more, I have been able to immerse myself in the medical field and I have loved every second.

The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development is a non-profit medical organization who's goal is to provide a multidimensional approach to care for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a Clinical Intern, I worked with the staff to ensure the clinic is running smoothly as well as execute my own independent inquiry project. I assisted with scheduling, patient communication, and clinical appointments for my supervisor and other providers at the clinic. I also researched various topics relating to autism in attempt to continue work in discovering adaptive ways to treat autistic individuals while understanding many comorbid diseases and issues that come along with ASD. In this role I was able to conduct and publish a study associating autism and food to help The Johnson Center families as well as other families. My study was sent out in the Autism Research Institute newsletter as well as posted on their website.

Serving on my sororities Executive Board allowed me to lead my chapter in making the most of their time in Alpha Delta Pi by leading a team in charge of new members, sisterhood, ritual, alumni engagement, and education.

As the Director of New Member Experience, I was privileged to educate the new members of our sorority on all things history, tradition, ritual, sisterhood, social, and networking in the Alpha Delta Pi world. I was responsible to give them all of the information and skills to succeed and grow in our sorority and flourish into active members of our Delta chapter.

As an Alpha Pride Leader, I was able to lead and guide new members of the Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and welcome them into our sisterhood. Through this role I developed team-work skills, communication skills, and I was able to form meaningful connections with the new members of our sorority.

As a Resident Assistant, I was responsible for caring for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of an upwards of 30 girls. I also assisted in event planning, receptionist work, guiding residents through their university experience, and helping the staff with mail and discipline concerns. Through this job I was able to develop my leadership skills, my relatability, and my time-management skills.
