Lead a distributed engineering team responsible for the portfolio of Zendesk mobile apps.Examples of daily activities included:- People management of 7 engineers (1:1s, career conversations, coaching, etc.)- Supporting Senior and Staff engineers who lead large, multi-quarter long projects- Balancing the project workload for 2 engineering teams (14 engineers in total)- Communication with globally distributed stakeholders in Dublin, SF, Singapore, etc.- Preparing long-term (>= 9 months) product and engineering roadmap for products in 3 different domains (sales, support, chat)- Staying up-to-date with the technology by collaborating on architecture designs, code reviews, and good engineering practices.

Tech Lead in the team of 10 engineers, building great product across Android, iOS and backend.- Evolving mobile tech (backend and clients) to work well with the rest of the micro-services based system.- Collaborating with other tech leads on the company-wide engineering initiatives.- Recruiting, on-boarding and mentoring engineers.

Building #1 rated Android app for sales professionals using Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger 2 and whatever else is needed to deliver top-notch solutions to hard, big-scale problems. Managing a codebase of around 500k LOC.Some stuff I worked on: - Voice integration using Twilio- Logging GSM calls and letting users add a summary straight after each call- Scanning calls and SMSes for seamless integration between Base and Android phone- Exporting Base Contacts to the system Phone app- Notifications- Background processing solutions- Data synchronization between mobile and web- Powering features and screens with data source consisting of synchronized objects and on-demand fetched objects, when there was way too much data to synchronize- Evaluating Kotlin as a potential language (mid-2016) and introducing it to the codebase- Implementing RxJava-based architecture for complex features and screens- Migration to target Android 6.0, including support for Runtime permissions throughout the app- Setting up dependency injection with the latest versions of Dagger 2 and Dagger Android
