I have over 44 years of electrical/technical experience with 33 as a registered Professional Electrical Engineer and 7 years as a Professional Control Systems Engineer in Alaska. My Alaskan experience includes Journeyman Electrician (US Public Health - Statewide 1976-80) and EIT/ Electrical Designer (Longstaff Engineers INC 1980-89). My professional engineering experience includes Regional Engineering Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer for Raytheon TSSC (Alaska)1989-91, Principal (Owner) and Chief Electrical Engineer, EDC, Inc. (Alaska) 1991-2000 and Principal Engineer for EDC-VT (Vermont) 2000 -'05 . I took a position as Senior Engineer at CRW (Anchorage, Alaska) in 2005. My experience includes electrical design for power (High and Low voltage), lighting and controls for rural and municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities, schools and office complexes, institutional facilities such as Pioneer Homes and clinics, commercial facilities such as hangars, maintenance and machine shops, retail sales, office building tenant improvements, and laundromats as well as airfield (including NAS infrastructure), parking lot, pathway, sports facilities, recreational areas and roadways. I have managed staffs of up to 15 professional and semi professional personnel of differing disciplines on a broad range of projects . I acquired registration as a Controls Systems Engineer in 2015. As former department manager for the Electrical and Controls section of CRW I now focus on mentoring and assisting in training of our young EITs and junior staff. I do enjoy fieldwork and have had the privilege of working with the very special and unique people of "bush" Alaska since 1974.
