• Lead a QA team of 1 SDET, 1 QAE and 3-5 QA interns to help turn a graduate research project originating from the ECE department at the University of Texas at Austin into production-ready code capable of passing mobile carrier trials.• Responsible for designing and documenting test plans and procedures on an ongoing basis through collaboration with dev and leadership, defining KPIs and reporting to stakeholders, hiring and training staff and interns, and managing test efforts across a small QA team.• Full ownership of testing of the Edge Network product, extending network coverage for Android and iOS devices using power efficient, multi-RF bridging and routing: Bluetooth/LE, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi Aware and LTE-D (near future) to 3G/4G or Wi-Fi network connectivity. (single or multi-hop, secure, and with integrated reconciled billing)• Testing M87 Proximity Services across a wide range of industrial devices and specialized equipment for clients including various first responders and military groups, as well as testing M87's Proximity SDK for IoT Networks.

• Worked with Dev management to develop a customized Agile workflow (based on the Git Workflow model) and associated work item, bug handling, and software release procedures that were used first by a pilot team, and then rolled out to the rest of the company.• Defined quality and performance metrics, worked with Dev to implement and log them using Splunk and other tools, then used the resulting data to monitor the performance of production releases and catch regressions in the production codebase.• Fully owned testing of an award-winning white-label creation wizard and associated WYSIWYG web-based editor for affiliate website creation and management, from inception to delivery to market.• Extensively tested an incredibly complex automated payment system responsible for over $1,000,000.00 of cash flow per day, which interfaced with 25+ external payment processors and affiliate billing systems.• Personally identified and championed fixes for bugs that prevented over $250,000.00 (documented, possibly more) in overpayments and/or undercharges.• Trained and mentored new hires in order to get them booted up and effective in their areas of ownership.

• Volunteered to define bug handling and triage procedures for my feature team that were subsequently used as an instructive example for other feature teams on the product.• Participated in a small team of test “consultants” that would advise feature test teams on test plan development and methodology.• Tested state of the art computer vision system that visually matched products to items in the Amazon catalog, as well as OCR (text recognition), bar and QR code decoding among other features.
