Lead High Pressure Air System Engineer, Engineer Ii
CurrentLead High Pressure Air System Engineer, Engineer II June 2014-Present Developed and maintained the OHIO Replacement Class Submarine high-pressure air system diagram, 3D system arrangements, detailed construction drawings, test procedures, and operating instructions. o Maintained system technical/operational/safety/sustainment requirements through a system diagram from early concept development through detailed construction drawings. o Developed and maintained 3D CAD piping arrangements for a large distributed system integrated throughout entire submarine 3D model to meet system and crew operation requirements. o Analyzed system component design (pipes, fittings, valves, flasks, regulators, etc.) to strict naval submarine piping requirements including pressure ratings, material standards, and welding NDT requirements. o Developed detailed construction drawings outlining acceptable part numbers, construction NDT (PT, MT, RT, VT) requirements for welding as well as system hydrostatic and leakage testing. o Maintained interfacing system pressure and flow rate requirements using detailed compressible flow calculations throughout product design. One month rotation as Electric Boat liaison to BAE Systems in the United Kingdom. o Lead integration and knowledge transfer of US HP air system design into the UK submarine platform.
