I helped high performers get their dream jobs in the startup world through a job-search fellowship program. This includes providing career coaching to fellows at the both individual contributor and managerial levels, particularly in helping them set a vision for their next career move and providing tactical assistance with the job search.I also led programming for the fellowship program. I set the high-level vision and ran the day-to-day operations of the learning portion of the program, including recruiting speakers, running 5-7 live events per week, tracking against metrics and engaging in continuous improvement.

Greater Seattle Area

I designed programs to help teachers and school leaders build their own social-emotional skills. Responsibilities included managing a team of three writers, writing content, developing and optimizing team processes, analyzing field test data and iterating based on feedback. In preparation for the launch of our Out-of-School-time product, I also stepped into a term-limited assignment as a Product Manager. This included managing a 1 million dollar product budget, hiring three designers and one writer, cross-functional collaboration, and quarterly reporting to the executive leadership team.

Redmond, Washington

I built the Learning & Development department from the ground up at a fast-growing consulting firm. This included facilitating a two-week onboarding "boot camp", developing needs assessments, conducting internal user research, creating user personas, building and testing solutions, and writing and implementing a strategic plan. I was also responsible for creating instructional modules devoted to adult learning best practices, elevating the ability of instructors to deliver engaging content, and collaborating with senior leadership.

San Francisco Bay Area

I was responsible for spearheading our organization's expansion beyond San Francisco. In 2017, I developed partnerships with four Bay Area districts that have since joined the program. Additionally, I supervised eight Education Outside Instructors who teach standards-based science lessons in outdoor classrooms around San Francisco. I conducted regular teaching observations and provided curriculum support, as well as general troubleshooting and coaching on how to design and run a program in a public school. I have created and led professional development workshops for a group of almost fifty instructors on pedagogy, community engagement, and design thinking, including co-running the two week orientation at the beginning of the school year.

San Francisco Bay Area

I started the Outdoor Classroom program at a public elementary school. I was responsible for planning and teaching standards-based science lessons to K-5 students, planning, installing and maintaining the school garden. Additionally, I ran various sustainability campaigns in the school. These include initiatives to increase the number of students walking and biking to school, reducing the school's energy use, and lunchroom composting. I was also a founding member of the Education Outside curriculum committee, who developed a core curriculum aligned to CA state standards as well as the Next Generation Science Standards.

Olympia, Wa

I was responsible for leading crews of people with and without disabilities on a production farm. Also, I helped facilitate the farm's vocational training program by giving feedback to youth and adults with disabilities on their job performance, and by supporting them to meet their own leadership goals.

Oberlin, Ohio

I was the recipient of a highly competitive fellowship to design and implement a self-led project on urban food education. In this time, I started and ran a paid gardening internship for at-risk high school students. This included planning and managing ¼ acre garden, hiring and supervising interns, and developing/teaching food justice curriculum.

Accra, Ghana

Organized Women in Technology workshops for prospective students (ages 20-35). This included community outreach and recruitment at regional universities and civic groups, as well as managing the workshop logistics.
