First and foremost, I have always been fascinated by the human body and mathematics. My undergraduate career consisted of a Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. While there, I developed the skills to combine mathematics and computer science to solve various problems. I took these skills to Monmouth University in my research in the compression of audio signals. I enjoyed being able to combine the two areas of my undergraduate studies while also sparking my interest in research that led me to Clarkson University. It wasn’t until my senior year of college that I first-handedly understood the connection between mathematics and biology and the impact it can have on those who suffer from a variety of serious diseases. This realization shaped the path of my pursuits in education and research as I am now able to take my love for biology and combine it with my degree in mathematics. I now pursue a graduate level degree at Clarkson University whose faculty have a wide variety of experience in biomathematics. I look forward to building a career in biomathematics and using my research to impact others the way that this field of research has impacted me.
