I am an alum at Agnes Scott College. I plan to get certified to work in Human Resources. I love the idea of being in HR because they are able to do many different things in a day or even just day to day. I enjoy thinking about how to make the work environment a place where people can be productive and enjoy their work. I am passionate about resolving interpersonal issues in the workplace and making sure everyone feels welcomed and safe. I would also like working in employee wellness, safety, and/or the legal side of HR. I also really like the fact that jobs in HR are available nearly everywhere which gives me a lot of locational flexibility. Overall, I am excited to go into Human Resources and contribute to society. My most developed skill is Creative Problem Solving and Innovative Thinking. I have always been short and I am left-handed, so many simple things in life were harder for me than they would have been for taller or right-handed people. Because of this, I have had to think outside of the box and be creative with my solutions to problems that arose. For example, I have learned to be able to use things outside of their intended purpose to achieve my goals of fixing things or solving a problem.
