I recently graduated from Brigham Young University, and I really enjoyed being able to learn so much. I enjoyed working as a research assistant while there, and being a part of ongoing research was very interesting. While I was there a did several projects that taught me a lot. The most recent one was making an extension for VSCode that is similar to GitHub Copilot, but the extension is flexible to work with multiple APIs. Then developers could choose which Large Language Model they wanted to use like OpenAI or Google's AI. My second favorite project I worked on was spending over 100 hours studying on HackTheBox, which teaches different skills for penetration testing. I loved learning the different tools and ways of thinking, and by the end, I could hack a small box on my own. Another great project was creating an app similar to Twitter. This project was great at teaching me about AWS services and about scaling projects. The project also taught me some of the basic principles of creating good code. Overall, I have a lot of different project and class experiences.
